Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, Meeting at the airport and transfer to hotel to have a rest. Lunch. In the afternoon- Kampala city tour. Dinner and overnight Cassia Lodge/Sheraton Hotel/LandMark view.
Day 2:Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
At 9:00am, set off to Murchison Falls National Park (5 hours), driving via Luwero. You may have an Optional Rhino tracking in Nakasongora at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Proceed to Masindi and have lunch before proceeding to the park. In case there is still enough daylight you will head straight to the top of Murchison Falls where the Nile River explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43 m below. Proceed to check in at Sambiya river/Paraa safari lodge/Red Chilli hotel. (Lunch/Dinner)
Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise-Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early for a cup of tea, then proceed at 6:30 am for a game drive with chances of seeing elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeest, buffaloes, and different species of birds. Returning to the camp for late breakfast or lunch, before leaving in the early afternoon for a boat cruise on the river Nile to enjoy the landscape and view hippos, crocodiles and birds. Dinner and overnight (Day 2)
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast we head south to Kibale Forest National Park through beautiful landscapes, passing small villages and local markets. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon/Kyaninga lodge/Chims Nest lodge.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking-Kibale Forest and Bigodi Swamp
Early in the morning we will go for chimp tracking and other primates like the red-tailed monkey or the vervet monkey. In the afternoon we will go to Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk with the chance to enjoy its rich diversity of primates and birds.
Overnight at (Day 4)
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the foothills of Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy an enroute game drive to see herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes,warthogs and many more species, arrive at Queen Elizabeth early for lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George with many hippos, crocodiles and other animals. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Kyambura game Lodge/Enganzi Lodge.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Starting early in the morning for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you can see the dark and hairy forest giant hogs, leopards, warthogs, elephants, Defassa waterbuck and bush babies. In the afternoon, you will Either go for nature walk to the fishing village and Katwe salt mining area, OR go for forest walk in Imaramagambo forest where you will visit the Bat caves. Dinner and overnight (Day 6)
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Enjoy another game drive through Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions, later proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park. Overnight at Silverback Lodge/Mahogany springs/Buhoma community bandas.
Day 9: Gorilla tracking in the early morning, later visit the Batwa pygmies.
Early morning at 7am, gather at the park headquarters for pre tracking briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Later, ascend ito the forest forthe search of the amazing apes. This will take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the animals. In the afternoon, time allowing, go for Batwa visit and learn about their traditional way of life or go for Nature walk to the falls. Overnight at (Day 8)
Day 10: Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early for a breakfast, and later set off the journey back to Kampala and stop enroute at the equator for photos.Arriving late in Kampala and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
