Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
In the morning, you will drive southwestwards to Bwindi National park, with stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Continue the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and
Overnight at Gorilla Mist camp/ Mahogany Springs/ Silverback Lodge/ Buhoma community bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk.
In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and told the tales of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel (Day 1)
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the morning, you will set off to QENP, reaching the park early enough for lunch. In the afternoon, gather at the Kazinga channel for a boat cruise along the channel where you will be rewarded with view of game as Hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants as well as a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge/ Mweya Safari Lodge/Kyambura game Lodge.
Day 4: Game drives & Chimpanzee tracking.
Have early breakfast and go for an early morning game drive along Mweya peninsular before sunrise. Return to the Lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Kyambura Gorge nearby to track the fast moving and elusive wild chimpanzees, one of man’s closest relations. Kyambura Gorge habours the only family of habituated chimpanzees in Africa. Chimpanzee The chimp population is quite mobile and the walk is enchanting. Other primates include Red tailed monkeys, Vervet, Black and White colobus monkeys, olive baboons and Giant forest hog. Return to the lodge for lunch and proceed. Dinner and overnight
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early for a cup of tea or coffee and take a morning game drive to Kasenyi plains to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. You will be exposed to large variety of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, and several Antelope species, Lion, leopard and many more. Return to your lodge for full breakfast and relax as we wait for lunch.
Depart Queen Elizabeth for Kibale forest following the Rwenzori ranges. The journey will reward you with big game viewing en-route. Dinner and overnight at Kibale primates lodge/Kyaninga Lodge/Chimps nest Lodge.
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking – Kibale Forest
Have early breakfast and assemble at Kibale Park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. The trek will expose you to other primates like Colobus Monkeys Giant forest hog, Vervet, red-tailed monkeys, the Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive Baboons, and over 350 bird species. Return for lunch; relax as we wait for an evening cultural walk to nearby communities OR nature walk to Bigodi swamps. Dinner and overnight at DAY 5.
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala and departure.
After breakfast, you will set off to Kampala, reaching by lunch time. You will go for the necessary shopping before transferring to Entebbe in the evening for your departure flight.
End of Safari
