Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport and Pick up

Arriving at the airport, a knowledgeable tour guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel where you will have to spend the overnight. He will shortly brief you about the whole trip and show you around as you drive to the lodge.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park

Early morning, immediately after breakfast, start the journey to Kibale forest national park. This is the primate capital of the world with more 13 primate species. The journey to the park gives you awesome views of the tea estates that were only known to the Canandian prairies.

Have a stopover in Fort Portal, the tourism town of Uganda and the once cleanest city in East Africa. Here you will have lunch and then proceed to the park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi community

Have a very early breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing about these beautiful primates. Now enter into the forest to search for the chimps. You will immediately hear the screams of the chimps as you hit the forest trails. Walk on the rythmes of beautiful bird songs.

On meeting the chimps, spend an hour with them, watching them carry on their daily lives, play with each other from tree branch to the other, feeding and taking all the pictures that you would want as long as he camera doesn’t have a flash.

In the afternoon after lunch, visit the Bigodi community for the best sourvenirs you can ever get made by the local people. See the way of life of the people who live around Kibale national park, enjoy the cultural performances as well as the local cuisines of Uganda.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

On this day you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth national park, the most visited park in Uganda, probably because of the wide array of wildlife species that dwell here. It also the oly park I Uganda where travelers get to see the tree climbing lions. The journey to Queen Elizabeth national park gives you awesome views of the Rwenzori Mountains of the moon.

Day 5: Morning game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel

Have a game drive through a network of tracks to find the elephants, buffaloes and other animals in the grassland thickets that cover the north Kazinga area near the Mweya Peninsula. Lions and other big cats are most reliably sighted on the typical open East Africa savannah Kasenyi Plain. Throughout the whole drive, Uganda kobs will be very common as the area is known as the breeding region for Uganda kobs.

In the afternoon you will head for boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel a dominant feature of the Queen Elizabeth National Park joining Lake George with Lake Edward. The Channel is home to one of the greatest concentration of hippo in Africa and herds of elephant, buffalo and other animals come to drink at the water’s edge.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Having had a palatable breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national through the Ishasha sector, the tree climbing lions region. Drive through this region as you hunt out for the most sought species lying up in the tree branches.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community

Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a short briefing from the park ranger about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking and also be grouped.

Start the trek in the jungle to hunt for the mountain gorillas. The trek is quite hectic as it involves a simple hike into the forest and starts as early as 7:30am. Walk in the impenetrable forest, paving your way out with a hand stick till you finally meet the gentle apes. Spend the magical hour with the gorillas, taking photos, watching them play with each other and conducting their normal lives.

Looking straight in the red eyes of a silverback a lifetime memory. After the hour trek back to the lodge for lunch and refreshments and then go for a cultural encounter with the Batwa forest people, the ones believed to be the first inhabitants of the forest. Explore their day to day lives and also taste their local cuisines.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes national park

Having had a delicious breakfast, start your journey to Rwanda’s volcanoes national park the prime destination for gorilla trekking in this country. The park also homes several golden monkeys that can easily be trekked. The journey still gives you clearer views of the Virunga Mountains and the thousand hills of Rwanda

Day 9: Golden monkey tacking and Ibyawachu cultural village

In the morning after an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a short briefing from the park guide and then enter the forest for the golden monkey trekking. Just in a few minutes, meet the beautiful golden monkeys and watch them play and jump from one tree branch to another and see how the live daily. It’s simply an experience for life.

Later on after lunch, visit the famous Ibyiwachu cultural village that gathers together all the three ethnic groups of Rwanda in only one stop point. Engage in the traditional dances performed here. A taste of the local cuisine is a guarantee except to those that don’t want.
