Tour Itinerary

Day 1, Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
After your breakfast in Kampala, you will be met by our safari guide and then will drive North-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park. Have a brief stopover in Masindi town for lunch and then proceed to the Park where upon arrival, you will visit the famous Top of the falls. Here you will be able to see Nile’s beauty perfected in a way that its water compress from 50 meters and squeeze through a 7-meter canyon dropping 40 meters thus making a thunderous roar and rainbow. Dinner and overnight at Para Safari Lodge/Nile Safari Camp/Red Chili Campsite/Sambiya River Lodge/Chobe Safari Lodge

Day 2, Game drive and Launch cruise to the Bottom of the falls
After an early morning breakfast, you will set out for the game drive in the Northern sector of the Park. Depending on where your accommodation was, you will first catch the 6:00am ferry to the other side of the Park for this wonderful long game drive. You will look out for early risers and also predators such as Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Antelopes, Hartebeests, warthogs and so many others. Return to your lodge for Lunch and then later in the afternoon, enjoy the 3 hours launch cruise along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to see animals like Hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and so on. Your boat will stop 10 meters away from the “Devil’s Cauldron” where you will be able to take pictures of the majestic Murchison Falls. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight at Para Safari Lodge/Nile Safari Camp/Red Chili Campsite/Sambiya River Lodge/Chobe Safari Lodge

Day 3, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for a whole day drive from Murchison falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey will take you though homesteads of the true African culture, tea and banana plantations and so on. Have lunch en route in Hoima and then later proceed with your journey to Fort portal hence reaching the Park in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali Safari Lodge/Primates Lodge/Kibale Safari Lodge/Chimp Nest Lodge/Chimpanzee guest house.

Day 4, Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters at Kanyachu for the chimp trek briefing. After this you will proceed into the forest for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale is well-known for harboring the largest number of primates. The search for chimpanzees in this forest may reward you with other primates such as the grey Mangabeys, pottos, colobus monkeys, bush babies, baboons and many more. Return back to the lodge for lunch after which you will go for a walk in Bigodi swamp. The swamp is characterized with unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali Safari Lodge/Primates Lodge/Kibale Safari Lodge/Chimp Nest Lodge/Chimpanzee guest house.

Day 5, Transfer to Semliki National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will drive to Semliki National Park. The Park is located within the western Rift Valley basin and is among the parks with various habitats like the Riparian forests, high savanna-grass, rainforests and low savannah-grass.  It is also in this Park that night game drives in Uganda can take place. At night you can clearly see most of the night-time residents like the Slender mongoose, cats, leopards, white-tailed mongoose, standard winged nightjars, hyenas and pennant winged nightjars and so on. Day 6, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey to the park. En route visit the crater regions and reach the Park by afternoon.  Upon arriving have lunch and then go for the launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is the spot with the largest concentration of Hippos in Africa as well as a number of bird species including migrant birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Simba Safari Camp/Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge

Day 7, Game drive and chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast at your Lodge, you will set out for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi area to search for early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Look out for different wildlife animals which the Park habits such as: Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Antelopes, and Warthogs and if you are Lucky, you can see the Leopards. Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon; you will go for the chimpanzee trek in the Kyambura Gorge. These close relatives of man will be searched for within the confines of a forested river gorge carved into the surroundings flat savannah. The chimp walk will also reward you with views of other primate species within the gorge area and also other animals which reside in the Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Simba Safari Camp/Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge

Day 8, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi National Park via the Ishasha sector which is famously known for the rare tree climbing lions. Your drive in Ishasha sector will enable you encounter different wildlife animals such as Elephants, tree climbing lions, Buffaloes and so on. This will be a game drive en route before reaching Buhoma the Park headquarters of Bwindi. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Resort/Gorilla Forest Camp/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 9, Gorilla trek in Bwindi Forest
Early morning, you will have breakfast and then report to the Park Ranger Station before 8:00am for a brief talk about the Gorillas and the tracking rules. This will be done by one of the ranger guides of the Station. After this, your rangers will lead you to track the endangered world giants also called the Mountain gorillas through the bush, undergrowth and parting thick creepers.  On your way to see the Gorillas, look out for other primate species like the Monkeys, baboons and a lot of bird species. Upon meeting the Gorillas, you can opt to sit around these great apes for a whole 1 hour gazing into their big round eyes as well as taking Photographs. You are reminded to take with you your packed lunch and mineral water since the gorilla trek time is unpredictable and it ranges from half an hour up to 8 hours depending on the movement of these primates. After tracking the gorillas, you will return back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Resort/Gorilla Forest Camp/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 10, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will leave Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale region which is commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa. Lake Bunyonyi is a very spectacular destination with beautiful small Islands which are enclosed by steep terraced slopes. Bunyonyi is well known as a bird watchers paradise. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi overland Camp/Arcadia cottages/Bunyonyi Safari Resort

Day 11, Full day at Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will head out for a full day Bunyonyi Island tour. Take a boat ride to the most of the Islands found on the lake and look out for different bird species on each and every Island you visit. It is believed that here each Island was named after its unique bird species that habits on it. Also visit the Batwa community and then later return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi overland Camp/Arcadia cottages/Bunyonyi Safari Resort

Day 12, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. This Park is an annex of the Tanzanian plains scattered with large zebra herds, elands, ungulates and impalas. This is the nearest Park to Uganda’s capital city which is Kampala and the smallest among all the Uganda’s National Parks. The park has over 310 species of birds and is the finest destination to view birds associated to acacia such as Ruppell’s long-tailed sterling, mosque swallows black-bellied bustard and the bare faced go-away bird. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and then go for the afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo. Look out for different bird species and animals like Hippos, Crocodiles and so on. Dinner and overnight stay at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp/Mihingo Lodge/UWA Bandas

Day 13, full day in Lake Mburo
Early morning before breakfast, you will take a guided nature walk with in the Salt-licking area. Here you will find a well positioned wooden platform on which you will stand to have splendid view various animal species visiting the place to lick these salty soils. Look out for elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, Impalas, Antelopes, Kobs and so many others. After this you will head for the horseback riding with in the Park. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp/Mihingo Lodge/UWA Bandas

Day 14, Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala with en route stop over at the Equator at Kayabwe for an informative explanation from the experts of the area as well as taking Photographs. Later continue with your journey to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Cassia Lodge/Imperial Royale Hotel/Kampala Serena Hotel

Day 15, Kampala City Tour and departure
After breakfast, you will set out for the Kampala city tour where you will be able to visit tourist sites like Uganda Museum, Kasubi tombs, Namugongo Martyr’s shrine, Bahai Temple, National Theatre and so many others. Later you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight home.
